It this tutorial we will discuss some systemd basics such as how to start or stop service and see service status using systemctl command. This allows you to view the jobs in the background.The Systemd system management daemon was designed to replace current init system inherited from UNIX System V operating systems such Linux and thus making current init system obsolete. The first one, indicated by square brackets (), shows the job ID, while the other value indicates the PID of the process associated with the job. You will notice numerical values displayed for background jobs.
